Skipped town, I did

Bet you folks didn't know this, but I skipped town last weekend for a quick R&R run to Bangkok. Spent four days there catching up with friends. This trip, I did a day trip to a little island in the Chao Praya river known as "Koh Kred".

See that mug I'm holding up? On the island, you pay Bht20 for iced coffee, choose one of these "Mon" pottery mugs and you're good to go! Seriously! I'm not kidding! It's only Bht20!!

For the record, the majority of the thais there DO NOT hate Singaporeans. I was perfectly fine there. It's only a few itchy farts with nothing else better to do who chose to sit under the blazing hot sun protesting. The people I know are already fed up with all the nonsense that's happening there 'cos it affects their country's reputation and businesses. As a precaution though, I simply chose not to state my nationality if the question ever came up from a stranger, which never happened anyway. Most people there assume I'm thai. Must be my shade of brown. Hahahaha!!! The only unfortunate thing that happened during my time there was the destroying of the four-faced buddha by the crazy man the night before I was due to return back to Singapore.
